We are one of the UK's leading distributors and stockist of exclusive, ancient, antique, rare and luxury Marbles for new build and restoration. Our depots in rural Wiltshire stock a wide variety of luxury slabs, plus a comprehensive range of top-quality commercial Marble, Granite, Slate and other stones.
We hold extensive stocks of carveable block including Pure Statuary, Alabasters, Soap Stones and Polyphant in addition to the more common Carrara marbles.
Over 35 years in the stone business has gained us a trusted supply network. This ensures quality and exclusivity across the range, and enables us to take on any type of stone contract.
We specialise in high-end residential work, restoration and conservation. Projects have included St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and the Palace of Westminster.
PAST PROJECTS
Here are a few examples of exclusive projects we have proudly worked on over the past years. While list is not exhaustive, it offers insight into the type and quality of materials we can to our clients.
WESTMISTER ABBEY
In addition to the Marble we have supplied for the restoration of memorials in The Crypt we also supplied a variety of ‘Devon Marble’” for the refurbishment of external features. None of the marble we supplied had been quarried for many years, so had to be sourced from old masonry and salvage yards.
PALACE OF WESTMISTER
Supply of materials for the central lobby floor restoration.
Materials supplied for this project included Noir Belge, Eramosa, Dukes Red, Statuario Puro & Verde Patricia
NATIONAL Gallery
supply of all the marble for the restoration of the original entrance and stairway along with the marble for the creation of the new entrance and stairways.
Restoration involved the sourcing of Giallo Antico and Paonazzo to closely match the original stones. For the new entrance Noir St. Laurent, Azul Cascais, Noir Belge and other Limestones were used.
This project won the Stone Federation award for RIBA Conservation in 2006.
ST PAUL'S CATHEDRAL
Supply of materials for floor repairs & restoration.
Materials supplied for this project included Bianco Di Carrara, Noir Belge & Oland Limestone
Princess Diana Memorial
McMarmilloyd was requested by the sculptor to source Pure Statuary, Bardiglio Medio Uniforme & Noir Belge for the Plaques that adorn the Pavilion.
The materials supplied were shaped in a profile of the late Princess and inscribed with quotes from her brother.
